Working with Shaun gives us the opportunity to expand our final year project to work alongside fellow students within the creative industry and the West Midlands area. The photographs taken will be used for all of our packaging for Trainer, and can be used to expand Shaun’s portfolio, being able to showcase his talent to the industry.
We wanted to work with Shaun as we feel his style of photography mirrors our filming style, and we are particularly interested in his exploration of colour within his images.
In the future Shaun hopes to establish himself as a working photographer in many aspects such as art photography. His interests within the field are fine art, documentary, landscape, portraiture and reportage. Currently he enjoys shooting colour within a fine art context, recently completing a project titled ‘Unseen Aesthetics’.
Shaun sees his inspirations as: William Eggleston, Peter Fraser, Joel Meyerowitz, Stephen Shore; all of which are pioneers in colour photography.
Away from photography Shaun’s interests lie within film, particularly the works of David Lynch. And by working with Mucky Duck Media he hopes to gain experience of working alongside others in a creative setting and gaining confidence of working in a film environment.
